Vouvant has been classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France and was awarded the Small Towns of Character Label

The Romanesque Church of Vouvent was erected in the 11th Century by Théodelin, abbot of Maillezais and is well worth a visit.

Take a stroll through the stone walled alleys and sit and enjoy something to eat and drink on the Terrace of Cafes and Restaurants and don't forget to visit the Mélusine tower

There are also beautiful picnic spots and walks along the bank of the Rivière Mère
